The Beginning of a Community Partnership with Coppell Cheerleading Association

Rooted in Coppell. Growing Together.

Every great partnership starts somewhere.

For Community Hats and Coppell Cheerleading Association (CCA), it started with a shared connection to the community and a simple idea: what if locally inspired merchandise could help create new fundraising opportunities?

Community Hats was founded by Coppell parents involved in local schools, youth sports, and community activities. We understand the dedication that goes into building the programs our families love — from coaches and volunteers to the parents and supporters cheering from the sidelines.

That connection is at the heart of why Community Hats exists.

And when the opportunity arose to collaborate with CCA, we found something worth cheering about.

Getting the Ball Rolling — or the Pom-Poms Shaking

In August 2026, we connected with CCA to explore how we might work together.

CCA was looking for a hat supplier, and Community Hats had an assortment of Coppell-inspired merchandise available in adult and youth sizes.

We discussed product selections, wholesale pricing, quantities, and how the hats could complement CCA's existing fundraising efforts.

By September, CCA had purchased its first assortment of Community Hats merchandise to offer to its supporters.

It was a simple starting point, but an important one: two local organizations finding a practical way to work together.

The Community Shows Its Spirit

One of the most encouraging parts of the partnership has been hearing directly from CCA about how supporters are responding.

Following its initial merchandise sales, CCA reported selling out of multiple adult hat styles.

The association shared feedback about popular designs, additional colors, and sizes that its supporters wanted to see.

Those conversations helped us better understand local demand and identify opportunities to provide additional merchandise.

As interest continued, CCA placed further wholesale orders, and we worked together to explore replenishment and new product options.

For us, this is where the partnership becomes especially valuable.

The feedback matters just as much as the merchandise.

Every conversation helps us learn what organizations need, what supporters respond to, and how we can improve the experience.

Taking the Spirit Online

In October, CCA expanded its fundraising efforts by introducing Community Hats merchandise through its own online spirit-wear shop.

CCA managed the storefront and fundraising activities, while Community Hats supplied products, official photography, and inventory information.

As sales continued, we coordinated product availability and discussed opportunities to replenish popular styles.

CCA subsequently reported selling through another purchased batch and expressed interest in additional inventory.

It's an encouraging example of how an initial wholesale relationship can develop into something more collaborative.

And we're excited to see where it goes.

Learning as We Go. Growing Together.

We don't believe there's a one-size-fits-all approach to fundraising.

Every organization has its own supporters, goals, resources, and ideas.

Our ongoing relationship with CCA is helping us better understand how merchandise partnerships can work for local organizations.

Which designs resonate with families? How much inventory makes sense? Could new products create additional interest? What tools might make online fundraising easier?

These are the questions we're continuing to explore.

We want to listen, learn, and adapt — not simply deliver a product and consider the job finished.

The goal is to build relationships that grow alongside the organizations we serve.

Just Getting Started

Our partnership with CCA is still evolving, and that's part of what makes it meaningful.

We're grateful for the opportunity to work with a local organization, learn from its experience, and explore ways to support its fundraising efforts.

We hope this is the beginning of many collaborations with organizations throughout Coppell — from football, soccer, baseball, lacrosse, swimming, and track to marching band, theater, robotics, chess, and everything in between.

Every organization has a community behind it.

Every community has something worth celebrating.

And sometimes, all it takes is a good idea and the right people working together to give everyone something to cheer about.
